It is possible to create a limited search in Web of Science so that Social Science researchers can default to a Social Science Citation Index search and Science Researches can default to a Science Citation Index search. You can see in the examples below that it is still possible to select both or either index from the search screen.

I like the idea of splitting them.
ReplyDeleteYes, please split. Is there a need for a third rsource that keeps SCI and SSCI combined? Off the top of my head I can't think of one.
