As we near the end of the semester, just a reminder about items in Voyager with a Recently Returned status. If an item was returned within the last few hours, it may not be on the shelf yet (depends on how busy Circulation is and how many people decided to return things at the exact same time).
It is good practice, before sending a student upstairs, to note the time returned and explain possible scenarios to the student. I believe it is Circulation's practice to not look for a recently returned item, so be careful about what you send students to them to ask.
BTW, if you know what you're doing (!), Circ seems to appreciate shelving help during exam week. It's a nice way to feel you've accomplished something while still being able to procrastinate.
