Phone Chargers for Loan

A reminder about something Al told us in November. I apparently forgot.

Library Tech Services has the following items for loan to students:

5 - Android Phone Chargers (all have micro and mini plugs with the power adapter)
3 - IPhone Chargers (Lightning to USB cable with power adapter for use with IPhone 5, IPad 4 and IPad Air)
2 - IPhone Chargers (30 pin to USB with power adapter for use with previous IPhone and IPad versions)
5 - Headphones with Microphones

Where do I print?

FYI

The computer that is located at the Library Tech Services desk right hand side sends it print jobs to the EIC print stations.

D2L troubles in the library

If a student asks for help with a D2L error, check what browser they are using. D2L doesn't like IE9, which is what we have in the library. Have them launch Firefox, and that may fix the problem.

Getting documents off student laptops

Once in a while a student without a jump drive needs to get something off their laptop, and can't connect to the wireless.
The Computer Support Desk will help students retrieve the document for printing or e-mailing.

Pipeline Login for Retirees

Retirees who don't already have one can apply for an email address and Pipeline account by completing this form and returning it to Cope Room 003, Fax (615)898-5720. The retiree must have an M number, so he or she may need to make a trip to the ID office first.

Presumably, this will allow the retiree to login to library computers without obtaining a guest password each time.

You can determine whether or not a retiree has a Pipeline login by calling the ITD help desk at 5345.
